MTG Jeff: Gruul Midrange is INSANE in Standard MTG JEFF January 21, 2019 Fusion Gaming, MTG Arena, Standard I wasn’t too sure if Gruul (Red-Green, my favorite color combination) would be completely playable in a format with so many board wipes and control. Then I deck-tested with the deck below and realized that I had nothing to worry about. Llanowar Elves into Steel Leaf Champion is as crazy a combo as it ever was, but now you add options for nearly as insane plays all the way up the curve. Rhythm of the Wild is an insane card — your creature spells can’t be countered and every creature gets riot which stacks! This truly is an amazing deck. I hope you enjoy the deck & gameplay below.
