Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

In this week’s Community section I touch on both the importance of living in the now, but also looking ahead. Planning for your education, career and things your passionate about are just as important as being present in the here and now. As it relates to Magic, enjoy the sets that are in front of you. You don’t always need to drop everything you’re doing to grab the latest product. Additionally though, if the latest product doesn’t speak to you, plan to use your Magic budget on future products that will be sure to please.

The Technical section this week looks at mechanics that were introduced in the set Saviors of Kamigawa. This small set in Kamigawa Block introduced the mechanics Sweep and Channel.

Today’s set Retrospective highlights: Saviors of Kamigawa! The quality, from a Commander standpoint has gone down as we’ve progressed through Kamigawa Block. But, the cards that do impact Commander do so in a very meaningful way!
