Every winter, Rants of Valalut releases a list of word puzzles using Magic cards as clues. Each puzzle uses the names of five cards to describe something like a song or movie.

What a card does isn’t important, only its name.

The description usually focuses on specific characters and memorable events. Little details can be important; each of these cards was chosen for a reason, so if something stands out to you, try focusing on that.

2019 was a big year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so the theme this time is Superhero Movies.

Beneath each puzzle, you’ll find clues with the year the movie was released, as well as a notable actor in the film. Beneath those clues is the name of the movie. If you’re stumped you can always take a peek at the hints, or just check the answer. There are an awful lot of superhero movies out there, so I’ve also provided a list below of all of the films that I used for the puzzles (including the example above), in case you want to narrow things down.

Feel free to ask someone for help, too; these puzzles are great to share with your family and friends, even if they don’t play Magic!
