Today we go back to some classic cards in Modern Merfolk! A lot of top decks are dangerous: Izzet Phoenix, Mono Red Phoenix, Infect, and Hogaak; but they are all vulnerable to Chalice of the Void. Additionally Coralhelm Commander is the perfect lord to win a standoff against Plague Engineer, just fly over it! Lastly, there are so many green and red creatures in Modern that Tidebinder Mage has become very valuable in the main deck. Check out this retro looking Merfolk list!
