Merfolk continues to compete in today’s Modern Metagame with Thassa, God of the Sea. Thassa is particularly good vs the removal heavy decks like UW control and Grixis Death’s Shadow. Letting her scry each turn helps grind out opponents. Faerie Conclave also is an all star vs attrition based decks and control decks (like Tron or UW Control) because it dodges sorcery speed removal.
